Jeffery Scott Cannon, 54 of Rome, was arrested this week after violating a court order to stay away from a victim when he went to see her and then proceeded to slap her in the face.
The incident occurred on Livingston Road.
Cannon is charged with aggravated stalking and simple battery.

Jeffery Scott Canon, 53 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he hit a woman over the head with a beer box after she attempted it pour them out.
Reports added that Cannon also forced his way into a bedroom, in which the victim had locked herself inside to get away from him. Police stated that the door was damaged in the process.
Cannon is charged with simple battery and criminal trespass.
