Anthony Lamar Wade Jr, 43 of Rome, was arrested this week after police said they found him in possession of a large amount of methamphetamine.
Reports said that Wade was being taken into custody for a probation violation when a search led officers to find the large amount of meth on him.
He was taken into custody at the intersection of Martha Berry Blvd and 5th Avenue.
Wade is charged with possession of meth, possession of meth with intent to distribute and probation violation.
