Christopher Dale Hudgins, 38 of Rome, was arrested on nearly two dozen charges after leading police on a high speed chase down the Loop before finally stopping at the county line on Wax Road.
Reports said that police attempted to pull Hudgins over on the Loop before he sped off at high rates of speed.
Police added that while taking him into custody he was found I possession of marijuana.
It was also discovered that Hudgins had been driving under the influence.
Hudgins is charged with possession of marijuana, aggressive driving, driving on a suspended license, obstruction, DUI, fleeing a police officer, four counts running a stop sign violation, reckless driving, driving without license in possession, failure to maintain lane, speeding, driving on wrong side of roadway, distracted driving hands free law violation, too fast for conditions, and passing in a no passing zone.
