James William Whitaker Jr, 68 of Silver Creek, was arrested this week after reports said a dead body and drugs inside his home at 36 Harris Road.’
Police said that a welfare check call was issued and when they arrived at the home Whitaker refused to allow entry. After first responders went inside they discovered the body at the entrance way. The female body was partially covered by multiple fabrics.
Police said that the person appeared to have been dead for three days.
A search warrant was then issued, which led police to find two bags of suspected methamphetamine.
Whitaker is charged with possession of methamphetamine and concealing the death of another.
