Mark McGill Espy, 46 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he was found in possession of drugs following a traffic stop for not wearing a seat beat.
Officers stated that when they stopped Espy on Redmond Road they detected a marijuana odor coming from his vehicle. A K9 officer was brought out and he alerted on the vehicle.
A search then led officers to find suspected meth, a glass pipe, marijuana, a THC vape and a syringe.
Espy is charged with possession of meth, possession of marijuana, possession of a schedule I controlled substance, possession of drug related objects and a seat belt violation.
