Juston Daryl Pope, 34 of Rome, was arrested this week for allegedly breaking into a storage building and stealing thousands of dollars in various items.
Reports said that Pope used a piece of debris to push open a door at the Federal Self Storage on Martha Berry Highway.
He is then accused of stealing three firearms, two handmade knives, and a host of tools.
Police went on to add that he has been seen by numerous witnesses with the stolen items.
The break-in and theft occurred back in September.
Authorities also said that while locating Pope at a store on Martha Berry Highway this week he attempted to run. They stated that he ran and climbed a tree and refused to come down for officers.
Pope is charged with second degree burglary, criminal trespass and obstruction.
