Jaderricus Malik Caldwell, 20 of Rome, was arrested this week after police said they found him in possession of six pounds of marijuana.
Police said that Caldwell was clocked speeding in a school zone on Lavender Drive. After stopping, police stated that Caldwell attempted to flee the scene on foot.
The drugs were located inside the car in which Caldwell was the sold occupant.
Police went on to say that after jumping out of his vehicle he jumped into another car and sped away.
The incident occurred on September 23rd of this year. Caldwell was caputred this week at 1308 Maple Road.
Caldwell is charged with possession of marijuana, distribution or sale of marijuana, possession or sale of a controlled substance, obstruction and speeding in a school zone.
