Briana Darlene Chapman, 40 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she was found with drugs after being taken into custody for shoplifting at the Dollar General.
Police said that Chapman stole $59.92 worth of clothing before being taken into custody.
Authorities added that Chapman was found with five Benzodizepines pills that was not in their original container.
Chapman is charged with theft by shoplifting, possession of a schedule IV controlled substance and drugs not in original container.
