Curtis Lee Mulkey, 30 of Rome, was arrested this week after a traffic stop on Old Dalton Road led police to find drugs.
Reports said that Mulkey was stopped after he was observed swerving in the roadway. It was then discovered that he was driving an unregistered vehicle.
While conducting an investigation, officers found that Mulkey had been driving under the influence.
A search led them to find two schedule IV pills.
Mulkey is charged with possession of a schedule IV controlled substance, drugs not in original container, DUI, failure to maintain lane, operation of and unregistered vehicle and probation violation.
