David Pete Slaby, 70 of Ooltewah, Tennessee, was arrested in Rome after reports said he pulled a knife on a woman during an argument about COVID-19.
Reports stated that during argument Slaby threatened to “cut her mask off her face.”
The incident occurred at the West Rome Walmart.
Police added that when they arrived on scene Slaby told them that “he was joking”.
Slaby is charged with aggravated assault.
