James Colby Ray, 26 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he broke into a car and stole it along with three debit cards.
Reports stated that he was later found and was in possession of methamphetamines’ packaged into numerous baggies. He was also found in possession of a digital scale and numerous syringes.
While being taken into custody he attempted to flee the scene on foot.
Ray is charged with theft by taking, entering an automobile with intent to commit a theft, financial transaction card fraud, two counts obstruction, possession of drug related objects, possession of meth with intent to distribute, theft by taking and two counts probation violation.
