James William Lupo IV, 40 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he called 911 and repeatedly called the operator a “fu**** bi***”.
Police said that when they went to arrest Lupo at a location on Shorter Avenue he pulled away from officers and attempted to flee the scene while disobey commands to stop.
Lupo then proceeded to refuse to place his hands behind his back. Officers were then forced to deploy their taser while attempting to get Lupo to stop refusing arrest.
After a struggle ensued on the ground Lupo eventually cooperated with officers.
Police sustained minor injures in the scuffle.
He is charged with two counts felony obstruction, simple battery against a police officer, and unlawful conduct during a 911 call.
