A Rome couple, Gail Patricia Bennett, 38, and David John Fisette, 42, were arrested at Heritage Park after police said they found them in abusing two dogs and in possession of drugs.
Reports stated that when officers arrived on scene they noticed signs of drug use.
While interviewing the suspects they told officers that they were in possession of drugs.
Fisette told officers that he had a meth pipe containing the drug in his book bag.
Bennett was allegedly found with a marijuana grinder containing the drug and a bag of methamphetamine inside a bag.
Both are charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance near a housing project.
Bennett is additionally charged with possession of marijuana.
