Cedartown police arrested Joseph Wilhoit, 29 of Rockmart, this week following a chase that resulted in him being tased.
Police stated that they were dispatched after Wilhoit was allegedly found looking in cars at Zorba’s.
Reports added that after he fled from officers on foot down John Phillips Drive toward Wiley Drive a physical altercation ensued.
After catching up with the suspect officers used their taser to subdue the suspect.
Reports went on to say that despite the shock, Wilhoit continued to resist, however he was eventually pinned to the ground and taken into custody.
Wilhoit is charged with interference with government property, obstruction of law enforcement officers, loitering or prowling, public drunkenness, and obstruction of law enforcement officers.
