Jonathan Maurice Harrell, 31 of Lindale, was arrested this week after reports said he slapped and grabbed a woman by the throat during an altercation at a home on Avenue D.
Reports stated that the victim was left with visible injuries to her face and neck.
Harrell is charged with battery.
