Benjamin Martin Roque, 29 of Hinesville, was booked into the Floyd County Jail for conspiring to sneak tobacco into the Floyd County Prison.
Reports said that Roque attempted to smuggle four bags containing a total of 34 ounces of tobacco into the prison back on December 31st of 2018.
Police stated that Roque attempted to get the drugs from the Rome Senior Center on Riverside Parkway.
He was transported this week from the Wheeler Correctional Facility to face the charges of conspiracy to commit a felony and items prohibited by an inmate.
