Dimitrius Lashaun Huggins, 39 of Cedartown, was arrested in Rome after reports said he stole a drink at the Berry Food Mart on Martha Berry Blvd and then proceeded to lead officers on a foot chase.
Authorities stated that after leaving the store without paying an officer spotted Huggins near John Davenport Drive. The officer added that when he attempted to stop and question Huggins he attempted to run. After capturing Huggins police added went on to say that he did not cooperate with the arrest and pulled away in an effort to prevent being handcuffed.
Huggins is charged with criminal trespass, theft by shoplifting and obstruction
