Lacee Danielle Howard, 23 of Rome,  was arrested this week after reports said she stole mail, an AK47, numerous checks before cashing them, and numerous other items late last year.

On December 20, 2020, Howard is accused of going to a home on Pleasant Valley Road in Silver Creek and stealing close to $1,850 worth of merchandise.  Police said that she stole a AK-47, range bag and its contents, 10 AK magazines, a Hawk precision Red Dot and an AR 500 plate carrier.

On December 31st , she went to another’s property and stole mail from their mailbox.  She then proceeded to sign stolen checks that was not made out to her and deposited it into her own personal account. The checks were in the amount of $1,207.05 and $510.89.

Howard is charged with first degree burglary, two counts identity theft fraud, two counts fourth degree forgery, theft by taking from the mail, three counts criminal trespass, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, felony theft by taking from mail, and failure to appear.
