Jason Toby Barker, 27 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he attempted to choke another person to death.
Report said that Baker placed his hands around the throat of the victim, with the intent to murder them. Authorities added that Baker then proceeded to cause bodily harm to the victim’s face and chest.
The incident occurred back on February 25 of this year at a location on Jones Street.
Police said that after locating Barker this week at the Marathon Store on Kingston Highway he gave them a fake name and date of birth. Barker is charged with aggravated assault, battery, giving false information to police and felony probation violation
