Chad Lewis, 45 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he severely beat a child under 18 years of age at his home on Cliffview Drive.
Reports stated that Lewis grabbed the child by the head of the hair and beat it against the wall before throwing her to the floor.
The child allegedly sustained bleeding from her nose, numerous bruises, scratches and marks to her back and arms,
Lewis is charged with battery and cruelty to children in 1st degree.
