Corey Derell Wood, 39 of Rome, was this week after reports said he broke into a home and then chased a resident with a kitchen knife.
Police said that Wood knocked out two windows in the home before gaining entry and finding two kitchen knives and chased the resident with them.
Reports added that Wood then attempted to hide the evidence by placing the knives in a trash can outside the home.
Wood is charged with aggravated assault, tampering with evidence, criminal trespass and home invasion in the first degree.
