Foncuyon Finley Sr, 43 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he beat a woman in front of three children before leading police on a chase.

Reports stated that last November Finley is accused of hitting the female woman in the arm while children watched the attack.  He then proceeded to break the woman’s cellphone when she attempted to call 911 for help.

This week when officers spotted Finley and attempted a traffic stop on MLK and Chambers Street he failed to stope for them. Officers stated that after initiating their lights and siren Finley proceeded to drive for close to two miles before stopping.

Finley is charged with battery, obstruction of a 911 call, criminal trespass, three counts cruelty to children, fleeing police, failure to maintain lane and contempt of superior court.
