Timothy Clayton Swann, 38 of Rome, was booked into the Floyd County Jail this week to face burglary and drug charges from last year.

Reports said that on June 22, 2020, Swann allegedly entered a home on Cave Spring Road without permission.  Reports added that Swann stayed in the home while the victim was away.

Then on August 10, 2020 he is accused of being found in possession of methamphetamine during a traffic stop at the intersection of GA 20 and Huffaker Road. Officers stated that they located shall shards of meth in the backseat and a plastic bag containing the drug in the rear seat.

Swann is charged with first degree burglary, possession of meth, possession of a schedule IV controlled substance and giving false information to police.
