Johnathan Terell Hampton, 33 of Rome, was arrested this week after a traffic stop for driving with a busted taillight led police to find numerous drugs.
Reports said that after stopping Hampton officers detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A search resulted in them locating plastic bag containing 5 Xanax and 2 Ecstacy pills, a marijuana cigarette and a glass smoking pipe containing suspected meth residue.
Hampton was also driving on a suspended license.
Hampton is charged with possession of meth, possession of a schedule I and IV controlled substance, possession of drug related objects drugs not in original container, driving on a suspended license, and possession of marijuana.
