Lucille Marie Willer, 46 of Rome, was arrested this week after police said she stole another’s checks and wrote one to herself.
Reports said that after stealing the checks she wrote one to herself for $120 and then signed the owners name before attempting to cash it at Heritage First bank on Broad Street.
Willer is charged with fourth degree forgery and theft by receiving stolen property.
