Kataja Donoyet Mallett, 23 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she stole a vehicle from a 61 year-old woman.
Reports said that the victim had asked Mallett not to take her car, but she did so anyway.
The incident occurred at a home on Old Cedartown Road.
Mallett is charged with theft by taking a motor vehicle.
