Derricus Anshone Haselrig, 43 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he assaulted another person with a revolver during an altercation at Chambers and Nelm Streets.
When deputies went to Haselrig’s Church Street home to take him into custody he was allegedly found attempting to flush marijuana down the toilet.
Haselrig is charged with battery, aggravated assault, possession of marijuana and tampering with evidence.
