Christian Anthony Croft, 20 of Rome, was arrested this week after he allegedly had sexual intercourse with a child under the age of 16 years.
Reports said that Croft forced the child to have vaginal and anal intercourse between October and November of last year.
The victim also told authorities that Croft held her hands behind her back while forcing the act of sodomy on her against her will.
The incident occurred at a home on Kingston Highway.
Croft is charged with aggravated child molestation, sodomy and cruelty to children.
