Bryson Wayne Hammond, 20 of Calhoun, was booked in the Floyd County Jail this week after he allegedly took a 2 year-old child without permission or any rights to do so.
Reports stated that Hammond believed the child to be his but has yet to legitimize.
Police added that Hammond took the child from its grandparents and then refused to return after be asked to do so.
Hammond is charged with interference with child custody.
