Kyle Tashier Morrison, 18 of Rome, was taken into custody at the YDC Center after he allegedly attempted to help a 16 year-old not be restrained by a correctional officers.
Reports said that Morrison grabbed a female officer so that she could not place a restraining maneuver on the teen.
Morrison is charged with battery and two counts felony obstruction of an officer.
