Christopher Dyconda Finley, 44 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he attempted to hit another person with hammer.

He is then accused of biting a police officer on the forearm, attempting to bite another and then removing a third officer’s baton while attempting to hit him with it.  Finley is also accused of attempting to take an officer’s taser while being subdued.

The incident occurred on Dibrell Street.

Finley is charged with aggravated assault three counts aggravated assault on a police officer, aggravated battery on a police officer, removal of a weapon from a public official, possession of drug related objects, three counts obstruction and probation violation.
