Justin Keith Jones, 28 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he placed his mother in fear of receiving injury.
Reports said that Jones beat on the woman’s door and told her that he was going to come in her home.
Reports added that Jones has a history of violence.
Police went on to state that when they arrived on the scene Jones became violent and ended up damaging up the officer’s equipment.
Jones is charged with simple assault and three counts felony obstruction.
