Jerry Walter Byrd, 56 of Rome, is facing additional charges after reports said he was found with a baggie of suspected methamphetamine at the Floyd County Jail.
Reports said that the drugs were found in a small plastic baggie.
Byrd is charged with probation violation, possession of meth and crossing the guard line with drugs.
