Jacob Thomas Smith, 22 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he used a card he found at Walker Mountain Store at numerous business around town.
Reports said that Smith made two purchases at Hardees for a total of $18.87.
The then attempted to use the card at four other businesses.
Smith is charged with financial transaction card fraud.
