Kyle Philip Sumner, 36 of Cartersville, was arrested in Rome after reports said he made contact with someone he thought was a child under the age of 16 years and engaged in sexual conversations.
Reports added that Sumner proceeded to arrange a meeting with the “child” and was taken into custody at the agreed upon location where the sex acts were to be done.
Sumner is charged with child molestation and use of compute to solicit a child to commit a crime.
