Timothy Tauraus Harshaw, 40 of Rome, was jailed this week after he allegedly hit a woman in her mouth with his fist.
The victim suffered a split lip and bleeding.
The incident occurred at the suspect’s home on Melody Lane.
Harshaw is charged with battery.
