Darmarcus Shuntae Cofield, 41 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he punched another person in the face and leg during an altercation on Aubie Lane.
Reports added that the incident occurred in front of his 5year-old child.
Cofield is charged with battery and cruelty to children.
