Derek Albert Elam, 29 of Cartersville, was arrested this week at the intersection of Old Rockmart Road and North 1st Street in Lindale after he was allegedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine and suspected ecstasy.
Reports added that he was also found with a glass smoking device, syringe and a gun.
Elam is charged with possession of meth, possession of a schedule I controlled substance, possession of drug related objects and possession of a weapon during the commission of a felony.
