Justin Corey Poole, of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he hit another person in the face and ribs, causing visible injury, at a home on Dugger Drive.
The attack occurred in front of two juvenile children.
While being taken into custody reports added that Poole attempted to grab and resist police.
Poole is charged with battery, felony obstruction, two counts cruelty to children and two counts misd. Obstruction.
