An inmate at the Floyd County Jail, Trevor Austin McNeil, 22 of Rome, is facing additional charges after reports said he lied about being sexually assaulted at the jail.
Reports said that it was allegedly discovered that McNeil made fraudulent reports to mislead deputies in believing he was assaulted by another inmate.
McNeil is now charged with felony false statements and writings and the false report of a crime.
