Charles Robert Garrett, 41 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he struck and kicked hi wife in the side and rib area dur9ing an altercation at a location on South Broad Street.
Reports added that a young child witnessed the attack.
Garrett is charged with battery, cruelty to children and probation violation.
