Christopher Thomas Fricks, 51 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he fired a gun inside a home on Alfred Avenue.
Reports added that the bullet landed just a few feet away from the victim.
Police stated that while investigating they discovered a bag of marijuana in plain view.
Fricks is charged with reckless conduct, cruelty to children in the first degree and possession of marijuana.
