Bobby Ray Milstead, 39 of Rome, was arrested after reports said he physically attacked his wife at a location near High Street at Trailer Park.
Reports said that Milstead shoved his wife while engaging in a dispute.
Police went on to say that Milstead was found to be in possession of synthetic marijuana. Police added that Milstead referred to the drugs as “fake synthetic” and told them that he was planning on selling some of it and using the rest.
Milstead is charged with battery and possession and distribution of a counterfeit substance.
