Marcus Ames Pouncey, 56 of Rome, was arrested after police said he attacked another with a shopping cart at Home Depot.
Reports said that Pouncey hit the victim in the abdomen while using profane language in the presence of other customers.
Pouncey is charged with battery and disorderly conduct.
