Polk County Sheriff Department’s K9-REMI and Deputy Casey Blackmon was very successful Wednesday as they tracked and located their first bad guy after he run from local Authorities.
Bucky James Smith has run from Law Enforcement several times in Floyd and Polk County with charges: Child Support, Driving on Suspended License, Felony w/Vehicle, Possession of Meth, Theft by Receiving Stolen Property and Felony Probation Warrants and many more after running from police yesterday in Aragon and Rockmart.
Many Agencies were involved(Rockmart City Police, Aragon City Police, Polk County Police, Polk County School Police, Polk County Emergency Management and Polk Sheriff’s Office). Eastside School was shut down briefly for safety until our fleeing fugitive could be taken into custody.
K9-REMI was obtained by Polk County Sheriff’s Office at no expense to Tax Payers and proving to be a great asset to our County.
