Calhoun Police called in the US Drug Enforcement Agency’s HAZMAT unit, which is based in Atlanta, Monday after a meth lab was discovered at a home on Calhoun Avenue.
Reports said that the apartments at Calhoun Crossing crossing were all evacuated while authorities dismembered and cleaned the lab.
Calhoun Police Chief Tony Pyle said that citizens were advised to stay away from the area of Calhoun Avenue and Harlan Street for several hours.
