Daniel Clay Hulsey, 43 of Cedartown, was booked into the Floyd County Jail this week after he allegedly removed a battery from one vehicle from a property on Rockmart Highway and then placed it in a dump trump in order to steal 2,400 pounds of scrap metal.
Reports added that Hulsey then took the scrap metal and sold it.
Hulsey is charged with felony theft by taking, theft by taking a motor vehicle, theft by deception and criminal trespass.
