Melissa Bennett, 28, of Rome was arrested this week for hitting another.
According to police, Bennett hit the victim with her fist multiple times in the face. As a result, there were visible red marks to his right eye.
Bennett and the victim live together and have a two-year-old child.
Bennett is charged with battery.
