Rebecca Simpson, 35, of Rome was arrested this week for being in possession of multiple drugs and providing a false name.
According to police, during a search of Simpson’s vehicle, she was found to be in possession of a pistol that was reported stolen in Alabama. Along with the pistol, there was 24 grams of methamphetamine, multiple white pills which were wrapped in plastic bags, and an unused needle.
Simpson also provided police with a false name and birth date.
Simpson is charged with felony theft by receiving from another state, felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, felony possession of a firearm during a commission of a crime, possession of dangerous drugs, drugs not in original container, possession of drug-related objects, and giving police false name and birth date.
