Sonji Dixon, 45, of Rome was arrested this week for committing forgery.

According to police, on August 9, 2018, Dixon presented a forged payroll check claiming to be from Sunbridge Nursing Home. She attempted to cash the check at East Rome Beverage Center for the amount of $364.12.

On October 31, 2018, Dixon presented another forged payroll check claiming to be from Southeastern Mills. She attempted to cash the check at Chuck’s Corner for the amount of $380.21.

Both checks were claimed to be written from a fictitious SunTrust Bank account.

Dixon is charged with two counts of fourth-degree forgery.
